Royalton FCC... WHAT A RIOT!

Isaac's Saucy Saturday....A little delayed, but still Saucy!

OK... so here is the deal. What do you get when you cross an AWB, hard rain (and thunder and lightning), and a group of worship driven followers of Christ? A Southern Illinois version of a Mexican Fiesta.... Well... without the mexicans.... and the fiesta... well... come to think of it... it's nothing like a Mexican Fiesta... I knew a mexican once...

So the worship at Royalton is always amazing! Both times we have been there we have been welcomed with open arms. AND!!... most importantly... we have been asked to come back :) which is good. It never stops amazing me to find people who are so on fire for the Lord. It warms our hearts to see these awesome people trying and doing their best to chase after the Living God.

The night started off a little... wet, to say the least. I think I have come to the conclusion (not Biblical) that God likes to send rain in waves to lure us into the outside world, just in time for him to send a massive barrage of precipitation to saturate our already damp bodies. Heh, this is where I sit back and enjoy the blessing of being disabled and watch everyone get wet and make my triumphant entry after all equipment is carried in. In the words of Matt Redman... Blessed Be Your Name :D

After sitting in the trailer till the rain died down, we continued to set up and sound check. Now, this is another important item of information to note. This was Jesse's first official "show" playing bass with AWB, and OH was it a good one! I know I speak for the other guys (and gal) in the band when I say that we are so BLESSED to have Jes in the band.

But weren’t we talking about a Fiesta? Err Royalton? Same difference.

These people know how to help usher in the kingdom of God. They know how to let the Spirit flow freely and lay themselves down before the Living God and say... Here I am to Worship. I know I can't wait to get back there and fellowship and grow with our brothers and sisters at the First Christian Church of Royalton Illinois.

In the Living Gods Grace,
Izik

Be still, and KNOW that I am GOD... Ps. 46:10

Wanted: Your Opinion

First of All, progress is being made in the pursuit of Recording.  These are pics of our new sound walls that are currently about 97% complete.  Because the band does not have an ideal space for recording our drum tracks, we decided to build these "portable" walls.  With these we can now accommodate for better sound control in less desirable spaces.
Altered Worship Band is very excited about a new potential member!
After having only one practice in under his guitar strap, the new guy stepped up to the stage to help the band out on Friday, April 3rd.  After several schedule changes at S.I.C.S.C in Frankfort, the band was down to only two members available for the night.  FYI, the new guy rocked!  AWB would like to give props to Jesse for the spontaneous awesomeness displayed at the high school retreat.  More detailed information about our new member will be shared in future posts.
In upcoming news, AWB will be playing at the First Christian Church in Royalton on Friday, April 19th.  We look forward returning to Royalton to lead worship this Sunday night. Also, on the schedule is worship for Sunday morning in Sesser, IL on the 26th.  AWB is quite pleased to have a full schedule for this month.  Thank you to everyone involved with filling our calendar for April.
Altered would like your input.
We are considering making new shirts.  We do still have a few of our Altered baseball tees (as seen, above left), but have made a trial of our new design.  After making this trial design, several people expressed interest in obtaining one.  Since this new tee was hand made, AWB would like to know if there is interest in more "band made" shirts.  Soo... whatcha' think?  We are a creative bunch and are looking into fresh patterns and ways to slap Altered on new stuff.  If you or your friends would like to have uniquely hand-bleached and/or screened wearables like this
let us know.
