Jesse's Summer Camp Summary

Hey people, this is Jesse the sweetest bass player in the WHOLE world. Key word being sweetest!  Nah, I'm just joshin ya, but seriously. Sorry this is so late, I think jenny almost killed me the other day when she reminded me to write this. lol! Nah I love her!  It has been an incredibly busy summer for us.

Well we did worship music for 3 weeks of camp at Southern Illinois Christian Service Camp.  It was awesome to see the kids at Middler 1 & 2 weeks of camp. I enjoyed playing so much, not just playing but watching the kids dive into singing to God way deeper then they ever do in their churches.

We also played at Deeper Life, that was for high school Juniors to college Freshmen.  That was intense. I stayed there all week with the band, and I learned so much.

So this summer has been good to us. We've gotten a lot done. Personally, it gave me a chance to get to know the rest of the band even better which was good. Well I don't know about good.lol But in any case I enjoyed myself. And I think I can speak for the whole band in saying that this summer was PRETTY DERN FUN!!!!!!!! Well I'm gonna hit the road got some college classes to attend. Peace out folks!

Note from Jenny:  Thanks to the wonderful Kara Dean for posting these photos on facebook so I could conveniently borrow them for our own purposes!  And a friendly thank you from AWB to the lovely and talented Allie Pryor and Isaac McGee for joining us at Middler 2 and making this party more exciting!

Royalton FCC... WHAT A RIOT!

Isaac's Saucy Saturday....A little delayed, but still Saucy!

OK... so here is the deal. What do you get when you cross an AWB, hard rain (and thunder and lightning), and a group of worship driven followers of Christ? A Southern Illinois version of a Mexican Fiesta.... Well... without the mexicans.... and the fiesta... well... come to think of it... it's nothing like a Mexican Fiesta... I knew a mexican once...

So the worship at Royalton is always amazing! Both times we have been there we have been welcomed with open arms. AND!!... most importantly... we have been asked to come back :) which is good. It never stops amazing me to find people who are so on fire for the Lord. It warms our hearts to see these awesome people trying and doing their best to chase after the Living God.

The night started off a little... wet, to say the least. I think I have come to the conclusion (not Biblical) that God likes to send rain in waves to lure us into the outside world, just in time for him to send a massive barrage of precipitation to saturate our already damp bodies. Heh, this is where I sit back and enjoy the blessing of being disabled and watch everyone get wet and make my triumphant entry after all equipment is carried in. In the words of Matt Redman... Blessed Be Your Name :D

After sitting in the trailer till the rain died down, we continued to set up and sound check. Now, this is another important item of information to note. This was Jesse's first official "show" playing bass with AWB, and OH was it a good one! I know I speak for the other guys (and gal) in the band when I say that we are so BLESSED to have Jes in the band.

But weren’t we talking about a Fiesta? Err Royalton? Same difference.

These people know how to help usher in the kingdom of God. They know how to let the Spirit flow freely and lay themselves down before the Living God and say... Here I am to Worship. I know I can't wait to get back there and fellowship and grow with our brothers and sisters at the First Christian Church of Royalton Illinois.

In the Living Gods Grace,
Izik

Be still, and KNOW that I am GOD... Ps. 46:10
